$K2 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I totally redid the motor ( Ported, polished, etc etc..) I got PJ 34's and was wondering if I had to do anything different to the wiring harness?? Can I cut the connectors to the TORS and just tape it or do I hae to do something else? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Quote
boonman Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 There is a small black box, adjacent to the coil. There is a 3-wire connector on it. Unplug this. This will completely disable the TORS system... Quote

I COMPLETELY removed TORS with the new Carbs and want to cut the connectors that are on the wiring harness that connect to the old TORS. Thanks for the reply Boonman! Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 If it starts and runs fine I don't see why you couldn't cut and tape the wires Quote
$K2 Posted October 28, 2004 Author Report Posted October 28, 2004 (edited) I cant remember if I saw something here that said I had to actually connect some wires that I cut in order for the Shee to start.. I searched all over and couldnt find that damn post... Edited October 28, 2004 by $K2 Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I just went through this problem about a month ago. I didn't want any of the plugs left over from the T.O.R.S. because I'll never be going back to that crap again. So I started cutting and actually cut one of the ground wires on accident(which I didn't realize at the time). I couldn't get a spark, so I went through all the electrical and wiring. You can cut all of them off, just be careful and very patient when doing so. josh Quote
BenBB Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Like Banshee17Racing said, it's ok to cut off the TORS connectors, just don't cut something else off. The wires don't need to be spliced or anything, just cut them and tape 'em off; the control box connector, the two carb connectors, the throttle switch connector, and the e-brake connector. Quote
