moookie132 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 What is better to run 8 inch paddles or 10 inch paddles? what do you perfer and what are pros and cons? Quote
winemaker Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 I happen to own a set of 20X10X10 haulers(8 paddle) and a set of 21X12X8 Extreme Haulers(9 paddle). When it comes to sand... I definately prefer the 21X12X8's. They have more side wall for a little bit of flex, and the rim is further away from ground objects such as rocks. Also the 12 in tire mounted on an eight inch rim makes for quite a round tire to sand contact. It seems to me that at higher speeds, I am coming up out of the sand a little bit for less friction. Also when going up in size on the rear tire, I am gearing my quad down for better riding in the sand. Good luck to ya... Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 I like my 8" rims better, seems like they have a cushin effect. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Split the difference and get a set of 9's, I run 9" rear wheels in the sand. Quote
