I finally gave up on my AMP LINK ( worked good for MX) but now I just trail ride & they do rob power. Any way bought a TM design chain slider - had to remove pivot bolt to install. There was NO WAY it was comming apart ( sons Shee took 3 days and a sawz all 2 years ago to replace bearings). I was not about to go that deep so I Cut a slice in the new slider from the back so you can spread it open. and shaved the side just a little to clear the case where the front sprocket is. Heated it in boiling water and got it to fit just right pressing it over the front of the carrier. Removed it and counter sunk 2 holes with large sheet metal screws to hold the back together. Worked sweet and WAY WAY easier than removing the swing arm. They should build em that way. 99red_roostr.

Good Idea.

I had to replace my swingarm bearings in the past. While I had it apard I put a grease zerk in it. The grease doesn't make it to the bearing. The only purpose is to keep the metal rod inside lubed for dis-assembly and keep the water out.

After having to deal with my swingarm bearing exploding, I installed a grease fitting, but modified the spacer rod that it would grease the bearing too. My dad machined the rod and drilled holes so the grease would get to the bearings. Its been a long time, about three and a half years and my bearings are as tight as new and everything disassembles easily.

I have the UPP chain slider and am happy with it. It was easy to install and comes in the color to match your bike. I changed it out and haven't looked back I think it was only 30.00 don't really remember.

i got a brand-new upp sitting on my garage floor. there's a nut inside the molded plastic that is spinning, so i can't get the screw tight. yanked the pos off and bought a cascade. i'm still pissed, cause those things are spendy for what they are.

Or just grease that pivot bolt about once a season.  :shrugani:  ;)  I've never had any problems with mine, but I agree with ya & have seen that done several times. ;)

I also take my swingarm pivot bolt almost all the way out, once a year and grease it. Slides out like it should each time I have done this. Five minute job!

I'm sure if you contact them, and explain the problem, that they will stand behind their product, and if not, mail it to me, and I will throw it through their front door for ya..LOL
