rzbanshee Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Ok my bike ran perfect w/the 2 into 1 35mm 195 mains. I had a crank bearing let go, and just bought another motor w/ dune port. Got everything together and motor just seemed to bog forever and then just takeoff and make some serious power. I am running fmf fattys so I should have some decent lowend with this setup. I just hate waiting a second or two before the engine wants to do anything, ok for drag racing but not for my mx setup. My plugs are showing that they are chocalate brown, just doesn't make since to me that I would jet down when this motor hauls ass compared to the stocker besides downlow. I have tried playing with the needle and tried it in all postions and doesn't make much difference. Has anyone tried changing out the needles? Just seems like I have all the topend I could ever want but with this setup I should have the lowend, about ready to just get rid of these jugs. Quote
randelator Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 ude dgk needle for leaner mix or eek needle for richer mix that will solve your probleme Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 maybe try stepping your pilot jet up 1 or 2 sizes, should fix your problem. good luck Quote
fixitrod Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I agree... most likely the needle, but pilot could help. It's a combo that needs to work together. Quote
sredish Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 ude dgk needle for leaner mix or eek needle for richer mix that will solve your probleme I third what they all say. With the dune port, your flowing a lot more all over, but way more at low/mid than you were, so your lean. Throw in an EEK needle and you'll be all grins. Like fixitrod said, you'll probably want to bump your pilot up a size or two as well. Get your needle from CarbParts.com. Just call them and they'll ship one out pronto. I just got one a few weeks ago myself. Good luck and let us know how it works. Quote
