Wazzobie Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Ok a little birdy told me that if you run you bike a little on the fat side for the main jet and clip height it will eventually gum the rings cause hot spots and fry the pistons. Any truth to that? I'm havin a hard time with believing it. Quote
J.J. Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 No truth in it, if the mains are too fat it won't run well enough to matter anyway. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I'd kill that bird if I were you. If you run your bike 1 or 2 mains too rich, in most cases, the damn thing won't even run all that well. Its safer to run it on the rich side however, but never run it lean unless you enjoy rebuilding. Quote
