I know this may sound crazy but try going to a bigger sprocket in front. The thirteen can wind out to fast and make you shift through the gears like a mad man. It might be what you are looking for.

I Just put the 13 tooth on the front and I think I have the 44 in the rear. Iam really not sure if I like it. I think it will work nice in the sand but on the gravel or loose dirt it just doesn't hook up at all until 4th gear, where as 3rd was when it started to hook before. banghead I have the single carb on it so it never lagged low end before but i have heard alot of people swear by the 13 tooth so i gave it a try. So i guess if your low end is a problem a 13 will wake it up but otherwise if it doesn't perform in the sand like I hope Iam going back the 14.
