Klotzban1 Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 My 97 shees motor is stock except for what you see in my signature for add ons . I'm looking to building my motor for reliability and performance. I do alot of track time with friends jumping, woods ripping, some dirt climbs and occasionally some drags and ((((DUNES IN WYNOKA, OK))) LOL. My motor has never been cracked open and I think Now is a good time as any to start thinking about a rebuild or so. I seen and heard alot of ideas on the HQ since I joined and I come to respect alot of people here. I found a kit and wanted to lay it out before all of you and see what your response would be. I'm wanting to set it up for an all around great ride and I know there will be sacrifices in both the MX and Drag side of my shee. Here is a kit I found ,...tell me your opinions. NEW WEISCO K140 YAMAHA BANSHEE PRECISION MATCHED AND BALANCED PISTON KIT INCLUDES.020 (64.50MM BORE) OVERSIZE PISTONS,RINGS,WRIST PINS, CIRCLIPS AND TOPEND GASKET SET. Quote
ledofthezep Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Mine's a 97 too & I'm still running the original topend that came in it...and it still looks 100% and holds 150lbs exact on each cyl. I figure I won't mess with rebuilding until shee blows; but I'm one of those who believe in not fixing anything until it's broke also. Quote
Klotzban1 Posted October 5, 2004 Author Report Posted October 5, 2004 I agree with you Led. I'm in no big hurry for the change. LOL Quote
Klotzban1 Posted October 5, 2004 Author Report Posted October 5, 2004 Hey Led what all does your bike have to hold 150? Quote
