96dragbanshee Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 i have a 1996 banshee with 66mm wiseco pistons toomey t-5 exhaust and clamp on k&n airfilters i have the stock carbs with 300 main jets. My elevation is at 909 feet. It does not run right what size mains and pilot jets should i be using. It stalls as soon as i take off then it goes. Should my jets be bigger or smaller? Thanks scott Quote
23champ Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 raise your needles all the way up. Or better yet get a Dyno Jet jet kit Quote
sredish Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Sounds like it could be a pilot but most likely a needle issue, but not a main issue, if it's right when you hit it. What pilots are you running and where's your needle? Put it in the 4th clip down (from the top / blunt end). Here's a chart that shows what carb circuit affects what what throttle position. Quote
BMackKC Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I have the stock pilot jets and it is already in the fourth position. Should i be getting 27.5 polit you think? I tightened the air screw all the way in and backed both out equally that kind of helped. I am still losing take off and mid range power the top end power is nice. Quote
sredish Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I'd try some 27.5s or maybe even 30s and see how they work. That might give you the fix. Quote
