I have been trying to get an extended swingarm for some time now. But now everyone I know is telling me not to. My friends dad said it screws up their performance and I tried to explain to him that when you ride dunes and stuff most people extend it a little. You lose a little in your turning radius and that is about it. Then I told him that people who run moto cross usually shorten theirs for balance issues. Now I don't know if this is exactly right but I think I was pretty close.

Then another friend of mine (he's 50 but has the energy I do) went to Ricky Stator and was talking to him. Ricky apparently had made a 6 inch extended swing arm prototype thing and rode with it on a banshee. He hated it. Hence the reason why he doesn't sell any. Now from what I figured 6 inchs is a little long for actual riding. I was thinking if he had only made a 4 inch extension he would have liked it.

So what it comes down to is what you guys tell me. I want a 4 inch extended one. And seeing as how you are all more expierienced banshee riders than them (except maybe Ricky Stator) I will take your word over theres.

It depends on what kind of riding you do... If you drag all the time and are having trouble keeping the front end down, than I would get a swingarm. I want to shorten mine, and I ride in the dunes alot too, but I ride MX more, that's the way for me...
