  1. Hey I just got an extended Lonestar swingarm and bearing carrier for my banshee. After riding for awhile I noticed that the grease i packed the carrier with had come out all over the sprocket. I don't know if its a bad seal or whats goin on.
  2. I asked this in the other thread about sandtoyz but apparently that thread got banned. Is this the same sand toyz that used to make rail buggies a long time ago?
  3. I have been trying to get an extended swingarm for some time now. But now everyone I know is telling me not to. My friends dad said it screws up their performance and I tried to explain to him that when you ride dunes and stuff most people extend it a little. You lose a little in your turning radius and that is about it. Then I told him that people who run moto cross usually shorten theirs for balance issues. Now I don't know if this is exactly right but I think I was pretty close. Then another friend of mine (he's 50 but has the energy I do) went to Ricky Stator and was talking to him. Ricky apparently had made a 6 inch extended swing arm prototype thing and rode with it on a banshee. He hated it. Hence the reason why he doesn't sell any. Now from what I figured 6 inchs is a little long for actual riding. I was thinking if he had only made a 4 inch extension he would have liked it. So what it comes down to is what you guys tell me. I want a 4 inch extended one. And seeing as how you are all more expierienced banshee riders than them (except maybe Ricky Stator) I will take your word over theres.
  4. I was cleaning my air filter yesturday and ever since I got it I had been putting the K&N airfilter oil on it because that is what it says to do and my dad always did it. Well after I took it off I looked inside the air boots towards the carbs and I noticed that they looked wet. I ran my finger along the inside and there was a thin coat of oil around the whole thing. At first I thought I had some major problem because the oil looked almost brown and K&N air filter oil is a pinkish red color. Then I got my stupid brain together and realized it was just dirty, but I smelled it just to be sure. Anyway my question is wether or not I should keep using it. I didn't go overboard spraying it or anything so that isn't the problem. But the coat of oil seemed like the perfect thing to slow the air flow down. Let me know what you think.
  5. how can you tell if you need to or not? I heard plugs read differently when u advance the timing.
  6. I was just curious how many of you that advanced your timing 4 degrees had to get bigger main jets.
  7. I have been looking for quite some time now for people who can do a good port job for pretty cheap. And so far I have come across a lot of people who port and polish their stuff right out of their own garage. I have only heard of one case of somebody doing this to a Shee and aparently he had proffesional instructions. I was wondering if any of you have ported your own Shees or not. If so, let me know how you did it. If not, then can you recomend anyone who does a really good job.
