ok my banshee is still bone stock..(keep in mind its an 04 and has maby 40 hrs on it) i want to get more low end and more top end out of it..i ride 99% sand dunes and can already pull every hill in the desert but i want a bit more climbing torque and flat out speed...the problem is the budget..im limited on funds at this point..any ideas that may help me get whqt im lookin for cheap??

performance and cheap on a banshee doesn't belong in the same sentence. I would save some cash and invest in some pipes & silencers, re-jet the carbs and then a cool-head to start out with.

Yeah, open up airflow; take lid off of airbox, drop in a air filter. That has a noticable difference. Pipes, Silencers, and bigger jets will really let it come alive.

Pipes (and jets), 600 bucks, new air filter, about 100 bucks, tires, about 100 bucks, cool head and domes, about 300 bucks. You should be good to go for awhile.

ok im sorry ..i used cheap and performance in the same sentance for a banshee...im planning on a set of fmf pipes and a jet kit..but above and beonde that is waht i was looking for? how hard is it to put the heads on? can i do it in the garage or do i need to have it done by a shop? and can i still use stock pistons if i do put heads in? and what heads are recomended?and as for tires i ride 99% sand so i have a nice set of paddles and front razors..but what about sprockets can changing them help? and how much?

Ok calm down, what paddles are you using? get either a noss head http://www.nossmachine.com/ or a prodesign cool head. If you ride mostly dunes I would go with some rocket pipes or t-5's. You can install the coolhead in your garage with the proper instructions/tools. Don't take anything to the stealership In my opinion, they will cost you more in the long run.

Yup agreed, noss head with 20cc domes. You should be able to do this in under an hour, not hard at all. I would suggest getting CPI's, T-5's or Rockets for your type of riding. Keep in mind the CPI's and Rockets will work good on a stock motor but when you get her ported, which you will, trust me, the CPI's and Rockets will outshine just about anything else. Also I would use the paddles as a second tire, get some good all purpose rears, i.e. Razrs, Holeshots. As far as sprockets go, go up a tooth on the front to a 15. Real nice improvement over the stock 14, IMHO. Whatever you do, DONT FORGET TO TRASH YOUR STOCK AIR FILTER SYSTEM, IT SUCKS! Get a Toomey 2-1 or a pro design plate with the foam or K&N filter. That should last you awhile with just those mods that can be done on a weekend afternoon while consuming some adult beverages.

or ditch your airbox and get some pods. its like 65 for the setup from rmatv and then you just need a water bottle relcation piece.
