racer Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 dg sucks i hear good things about the others though. never really heard any of them. but white bros. has good quality IMO. Quote
nickxc Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Im just wondering if you have ridden a raptor yet?? cause they aren't anywhere near where a banshee is as far as power and there are alot better quads out there. However raptors are a good quad I dont mean to dis them but you are definately gunna take a power loss... anyway... back to your question. The shoot out dirtwheels did showed that the white bros E series put out the most hp out of any of the pipes they tested. (I believe Please correct me if Im wrong someone...) And if you dont end up getting a pipe take your snorkel off and cut a large hole in the top of the air box... Then change your jets from a 140/145 (stock) to a 160/165 combo. I did this on my buddys stock raptor and he gained nice HP. before he could just barely get a wheelie in 3rd now he is riding them out in 4th and he said he gained a lot of topend. He can almost beat me on top end if I dont use 6th gear Quote
wantinashee Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 according to the dirtwheels shootout the CT sonic has the most horse power, 48.6hp. the e-series had 44.9hp and all of them were between 100-103 decible. and they chose the yoshi as the best. if you want ill post hp and decibles for all the pipes l8r spud Quote
yamaharacr34 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 um...why are u selling ur shee for a raptor? ur question: id go with the e series or the HMF i jus put an HMF on my yfz an its sweet ~tom Quote
nickxc Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 CT sonic has the most horse power my bad I just found the shoot out. Idk why I was thinking it was the e series... Quote
stclark04 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Hey guys hows it goin im selling my banshee and im buying a 05 raptor im speechless. Quote
QuAdRaCeR^775 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 buy a yfz 450, not a raptor.. Quote
01bansheeke Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Sparks racing builds some of the fastest raptors out there... i would go with sparks pipe. just my opinion Quote
cjm02ram Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Sparks or the HMF all the way...Seriously you will not find a better all around pipe than either one of these. Go to www.atving.com and go to the forums and do a search. Yoshi is good also. When I had my Raptor I started off with the HMF. I then read the shootout and went with the CT, , big mistake, wish I would have stayed witht he HMF Quote

QuAdRaCeR^775 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Ill explain, Well me and my cousin went riding down in Aberdeen Maryland. There was a newly built housing development, and all the roads just paved. A couple of other people on atvs were drag racing on it, So we ride over there and this guys lets race, and hes sitting on a rappy im like ok... and pull up side by side (cement wall thing separating the 2 sides of the road) and the person standing in the middle drops their arms. I take off in second then nail 3rd and the chain snaps in half and gets all tangled around the front sprocket. My cousin is riding a 2000 piped blaster (rest is stock) and a guy on a z400 challenges him to a race. Well at the end the blaster beat him by about 1 bike length. The road was marked off 300ft.
