Blue_SS Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 i am a big banshee fan and havent saw a 450 with more power than my shee!! why does everyone go to the 450 now if u can make more power out of the shee!! i know the shee has a not as good frame and suspension but dont u think if u get this with the shee that the 450s cant touch you? i race flat track and i can almost understand y everybody has 4 strokes cuz of low end power but if u can ride the shee good and u have the setup couldnt you dominate them? the reason i am asking this is because i DO NOT wanna get a 450 to be on th top i love the shee so basically do you think a shee can own a 450 or any other 4 stroke on the track with the right supension mods? suprise Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 Look at the pros they where all on the 250 r bassed product then once the two wheelers went 4 and how far the 4 strokes have come since the mid 80s and the two cycle has done nothing as in evolve may be an injection system or something like that. and you would have to be an awsome rider too pull a holeshot over a descent rider on a thumper the tractabilty of the power cant be matched ours are revers and they got the talk and they rev the same as ours as in final rpm Quote
fixitrod Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 Tractibility of most 4strokes is tough to beat on a motocross track. Torque is there when you need it. Come out of a coner, pin it and the r's to jump so fast the traciton breaks. You want traction out of a corner into a double. They don't wear you out as fast because they are easier to ride. Frame is a better geometry for good suspension. Last but not least; the epa is going to make sure that 4 strokes are what's ran because of emissions. As far a dominating...if it were that simple, it'd be the way it is. In the wide open dunes and tt, I can see a banshee dominating. In a 20lap moto, the shee would kick your ass...lmao. Quote
sredish Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 (edited) 450cc is a max displacement in the pro class now. that's why they pulled doug gust's motor apart a month ago or so, to see if he was pimpin a little extra uumph. Nope, and he still woops em. With this in mind, the mfgs. build a 450cc or 440 something to use so they can compete out there. That's one reason you don't see them racing raptors, another reason is because they suck! Edited August 26, 2004 by sredish Quote
