RUNMYTA Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 OK, I have the mains worked out on the Shee with Toomey T-6's. I am running 320 mains on a 99 Shee with no air box and with K&N clamp ons. Now the problem is that when I start it and let it idle it, it revs to the moon. I can pull the choke out 1 notch and it idles perfect. I have 25 pilots and the needle clip set at 4th notch from the top of the needle. This thing screams mid to top!! Just won't idle. I have a good idea what pilots it needs, I just want to get some 2nd opinions from some helpful buds!! Thanks, Mike Quote
stclark04 Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 27.5 pilots.. give that a try, i dont know if itll solve ur revving problem, but i believe u should go bigger with ur pilot. Quote
RUNMYTA Posted August 19, 2004 Author Report Posted August 19, 2004 I was thinking that by pulling the choke out 1 notch means that it is real lean. So I am assuming that a 30 pilot would be closer. What do you guys think? Mike Quote
lincster Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 Yep, 30 pilot is what you need. That is what I run on my bike and if I pull the choke out when it is warm, it will die right away. You are lean on the pilot, everything else sounds about right. Quote
Banchetta Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 You guys are nuts...You have an air leak or your throttle is holding the slides up a hair...Motor can't rev unless it can get air....a motor is an air pump.. Quote
RUNMYTA Posted August 20, 2004 Author Report Posted August 20, 2004 Banchetta, You are wrong! If the pilot jet is to lean or has dirt in it, it will rev to the moon.Mike Quote
