I have a 350x honda engine stuffed into a 250x frame-this thing will not start once its warm-does this sound like a pilot jet problem?

Sounds like an electrical problem Willy. If it starts and dies out and you can restart it, that would be a pilot jet issue. It starts when cold and then when it gets hot it dies out and then you cant restart it? Sounds electrical.

Could be. Have you tried to give it throttle as you start it. Not hold it open, but give it throttle while kicking. If it starts, it's not electrical.

 

Does it die or you simply can't start it warm after turning it off.

Do like Rod said and go from there. I know my cousin had a problem w/ his rev limiter from white bros....Did the same thing on his 400ex.

The bike runs good-its not electrical-ride for awhile-stop-turn off engine--wont restart unless you pull and pop clutch-then it runs fine

Have you tried pulling leaning the pilot out. Does it start cold without the choke. If so, it might be a rich choke or fuel just running in from a leaky float seat. I don't know.

I was thinking it has something to do with the pilot jet and will check for leaks-thanks fellas
