bansha60 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Yes it was, weather couldnt have been better, There was an unfortunate accident though, 2 guys collided head on going up a dune and one of the men was killed, he was riding a banshee, and the younger kid was on a dirtbike, not exactly sure how it happened, but the front wheel on the bike was broke off, the kid on the dirtbike was tore up pretty bad too. I was down on the flats drag racing and decided to go back up to test hill and seen the whole crowd of people and this is what I seen. Very unfortunate. The hardest part of seeing the guy laying there passed away was watching his 3 young kids screaming, all I could do is try to cope them. It was even hard for me to do that and I didnt even know the man. But other than that I had a great weekend. Quote

I get nervous sometimes going up the dunes that are'nt one-way, because you never know if someone's coming up the other side. I've had a few very close calls, and even got hit once. I thought I was safe idling past a group of parked trucks, when a nut on a 400ex flew between 2 trucks wide open in 5th and blasted my front bumper with his rear tire. I'm lucky I seen him when I did and was able to stop quick, or he would have broad-sided me and I'd prolly be gone. It just spun me around 180*, and ripped my bumper off, and he had a bent rim, axle, swingarm, and frame A few people said the guy was an ass and had been riding like that all day, almost hitting a few people. Always keep your eyes and ears open and assume there's some nut riding like an idiot and that he can pop out from anywhere. Edited August 23, 2004 by blk02banshee Quote

What did his banshee look like, my husbandand i are there all the time and know alot of banshee riders but mostly by there quads. did it happen on test hill ? Quote
bansha60 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 No it wasnt on test hill,. it was acrost from test hill going towards the flats. It was a blue banshee, looked pretty stock except the T'5's , couldnt really tell what he looked like, a smaller built man. Unfortunate though.. But, met doltz there on the drags, he has a nice looking bike, also raced 8hondo, didnt talk to him though, he has a nice shee too., I was liking those paul turners! Quote
