I am running 32:1 yamalube now, i switched from klotz. Should I run a thicker mix,?? lemme know what u think, thanks Quote

sredish Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 32:1 is plenty thick for any type of situation. Usually, break-in, around 24:1 and there after 32:1 to 40:1 and depending upon the oil, up to 60:1. The best and right answer is to read the oil bottle. All premix oil bottles will give you a premix ratio range and anything in that range is sufficient. I don't really ever go less oil than 40:1, but I do know some that are at 60:1 with Amsoil. You are perfectly fine running 32:1 with your yamalube, and I would not go any more oil than that. Quote
