spazzz21 Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 This is my first time ever participating in a discussion fourm. I have a 1998 Banshee with Toomey T-5 pipes, 21 inch haulers, and a pro flow air filter (air box lid removed). I only ride at the Imperial Sand Dunes (Glamis). I think it's about time to have my first top end rebuild, and I was wondering what other upgrades would be a good idea. I was planning on having my crank trued and welded, timing advanced, flywhee lightened, air box removed (K&N filers off the carbs), and TORS removed. Is there anything else I should have done? Thanks for any suggestions. Quote
superchicken Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 sounds like your on the right track.i would look into a cool head, dlnoss makes them on here, wile you have the jugs apart, porting is the biggest bang for your buck next to a stroker. Quote

Not as much as a port job, but a lot cheaper. Quote
dlnoss Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 Let me know if you are interested in a head and a set of domes. One of the many benefits of being a BHQ member is a 10% discount on Noss parts. Quote
JPL-ATV Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 At this stage in the game, porting will yield the biggest bang for the buck. Prices range anywhere from $200 for a clean up, $375 for a Dune Port (Recommended for recreational duneing) to $850 for an all out drag port. In conjunction with porting, cutting your stock head, or adding a Noss head is highly recommended. Noss' heads are Sweet! However, if you are on a budget, we could cut your stock head and keep you running pump gas (91 octane). Gunner Performance Tech. Jackson Performance Laboratory Quote
