bigboybanshee Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 How can they sue her if they where riding there quads on the road? Are they road legal where you are?She could probably sue them for damaging her car. Sad to say it but this is true...They (technically) had no business on the street. Not to say I won't ride mine from time to time on the street but they have to be realistic about this...I would however, mysteriously have some damage inflicted upon the woman driving the car. Sorry to hear about your friends though, I hope that they recover to 100%. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 I'm thinking she could still be held for negligence if it can be proven she did it on purpose. It reminds me of the stories I've heard where someone is riding on private property, and the land owner pulls a thin rope across the trails to clothsline the people trespassing and ends up cutting their heads off. That is negligence on the land owners part I do believe, since it caused harm to someone on purpose. You can't just harm someone because you don't like what they are doing. Its sad I know.....lol.....I wish it weren't this way Quote
