BluBanshee98 Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Does anyone have any other methods to getting the carbs perfectly in sync other than the sight windows?? Any input is greatly appreciated. Quote
J.J. Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 I have a pair of long legged inside calipers at home, with the filter removed, I stick the calipers inside the carb to measure the height of the slides... Easier than the window method. Quote
fixitrod Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Just look into the slides from the rear. Check them at full throttle or when they line up with the top of the opening of the carb. The slides should be flush with the top of the carb opening at the same time. If not, adjust one or the other. Then, adjust the idle screws, if you have them, so they lift off at the same time. This way they are in synch the whole time. Quote
svtkid78 Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 yOU CAN STICK TWO SAME DIAMETER DRILL BIT IN YOUR CARBS AND ADJUST YOUR SLIDES TILL THEY ARE BOTH RESTING ON THE DRILL BITS. Quote

That's an excellent idea. Just make sure the drill bits are the same size, or bolts or whatever. I never thought about that. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Is there a certain height they have to be when at bottom? Quote
