Since the day I bought my shee i noticed that my buddies was wider than mine up front... we both had stock arms so I couldn't figure it out... thought maybe the widths changed throughout the years.

Anyways... it ends up that his front rims are bolted on "inversed"... think of it like this... unbolt your front tires... flip them over and bolt them back on... it gives him an extra 2" of width and you can really notice it.

My question is... is there anything wrong with this... will it be hard on any bearings or bushings... will it affect shock rate or stiffnes?

Do other people do it... i haven't read anywhere on here about people doing it and it seems to really make a big difference in stability... who needs +2 a-arms :)

You have to relocate your valves to the other side of the rim, if you just flip em they will hit your disc breaks

Other than that though there is nothing wrong with it.

nope it wont hurt bearings or bushings or ride, it makes it better. but you have to flip the valve you have int here rigth now in backwards, then drill a hole on the other side of the rim,and put a new valve in it the right way

get some 3/4 inch valve stems. i go mine at lappens. tyou can try auto zone or what not but all i know id the flush mount ones are hard to find unless you order them thorugh the internt. plus with those ones you need to carry an adapter just to put air in it.

it might work the bearings a little more and add to bump stear, but nothing worth bitching about. and its a freebie

I know I do. :D Flipping rims is good if you're not gonna get into like...mx or some other competition. Works well.

yeah, i noticed that too... plugged the old and drilled a new one... anyone know what size hole?

Also will it affect my spring rate or damping the way +2/+1 a-arms or any arm mods do?

If so, what will happen... soften it up?

I had mine flipped for a long time. I did notice that in rough stuff it was harder to hang on to the handle bars. The quad wanted to go it's own directiona little bit. I didn't like it. I put mine back the way it was. You could just ride your buddies and see if you like it. Our riding styles will be different. You might just love it.

Also, your suspension will seem really soft when you do that.
