Hey, my master link came off last night and the chain bound up by the front sprocket and it broke the piece of aluminum at the top of the front sprocket. I have a friend that has a banshee and his did the same thing I was wondering if anyone had the same thing happen to them. It's just that flat piece of aluminum that's at the top of the front sprocket.

If it just broke the flat piece on top then you should be ok but next time you might not be so lucky, if it rips a hole into the engine case then you have big troubles. You might want to put in a case saver to protect the cases...a small inexpensive piece of plastic could save you costly repairs.

I saved the pieces of aluminum that broke off (it's just the top flat piece) and I used liquid aluminum and put it back together and it's as good as new. I also fixed my chain :shootself: I had the bike out last night and rode it hard it's working good.
