sandgrencivic2k1 Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 I know a guy that has a ported banshee stock stroke, etc. He wants to trade me straight across for my stock cylindars so he can put a stroker crank, and a 4mm rod in it. He said I would need to bore it a bit and get new cylindars because he ran it too lean. He got it ported from a guy in Sacramento, CA so I don't know much about the port. He rides the dunes a lot, which I want to do. And if anyone has been to Sand Mountain, NV he says he can climb it at 50mph. What do you guys think, is that fairly quick? And is it worth it? Because I know the boring and the new cylinders cost some money. Any advice is good. Quote
ledofthezep Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Sounds fishy to me...I'd hold off, save some bones, & get your cyl's ported by someone you trust. Just my $.02. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 so u dont know what bore its on,or the type of porting? ask a few questions before you go trading, but porting isent the only thing that'll get you up a hill at 50 Quote
