A bit of a continue from my earlier post, but a different issue now..

 

Hopefully the stator and plate will be in tomorrow. However, I have not yet fixed the compression problems.

 

1. Is it going to hurt it if i run it with one cyl down in compression?

2. Will the jetting change if I fix the compression issues later?

3. SHOULD I jet it while compression is down, for riding purposes?

 

4. Where do i get jets?

 

 

 

Oh i forgot, brief overview, quad has 30psi low on one side, new pistons, stator fried and ran rich.

You should fix both sides at the same time. Likely, to repair one side, you will have to bore it. Therefore, you will ned ot bore both sides. You get jets from the dealer, or a mail order joint......

def rebuild the whole top end, 30psi diff is a lot, get it bored the next size up and get some new pistons, alot of people love weicso, but theres other kinds available. jet it when ur done, u can get it from a dealer, or from www.carbparts.com i belive good luck

So if I run it a little bit with one cyl down, even if it is running rich, it will hurt the quad?

 

I just need to replace the domes to fix it anyway...

Shows you what bullshit I've been fed from the shops, they say it's a 440, its the 420. Fuckers.
