RUNMYTA Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I recently had a wrist pin bearing let go and kill a cylinder. I had a new sleeve put in and port matched to the porting I had already. Then replaced the whole topend and now it runs like shit. It feel like it only runs on one cylinder. i have replaced the plugs, cleaned the carbs, and sync the carbs with no availe!! Anyone have any ideas what to look at next. It is a 99 Shee, ported, cool head, Moto-fast 2 into 1 pipe, etc... The problem actually started before the wrist pin let go!! I still have the TORS system on the bike! Any ideas??? Thanks,Mike Quote
. Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Aftermarket carbs? Possible the choke tube isnt connected? My dumbass has done that twice now.... Just a thought..... Quote
RUNMYTA Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 No It has the stock carbs that have been bored and I have checked the tube. I have left it unplugged several times myself!!! Quote
racer Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 im having the sam prob with a similar build to your but i dropped TORS. at first i had the slides in backwards, but then i fixed that it now it idles and runs only on the right side. some have had their coil cause that, but what are the chances failing at the exact moment you bore it? when you figure it out PM me cause i gotta get going by LS's sandfest in Sept. roosthrower Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 did you lube all of the internals with any two stroke oil? if so, it will take a little bit of time before that excess oil will clear out and fire on both cylinders. that is what happend for me after my recent top end rebuild. Quote
boonman Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Is the coil grounded properly? It needs a good ground to the frame. Reeds could be also bad.... Clogged jets? Try unplugging the TORS just to eliminate that as a possibility. It doesn't take much to make the shee engine run.... fuel at the right time, properly timed spark, and compression and a pipe... Quote
