Had a problem and figured I'd ask you all before I started rippin shit apart. My left cylinder puts out some decent white smoke, while my right does next to nothing. Left plug is also leaking oil, haven't taken it out yet because it runs fine and probably isn't fouled. Carbs are 28mm mikuni flatsides, both seem to be jetted properly. No coolant leaks or anything, engine was not taken apart, but head was replaced. My first thought was the reeds. Am I 100% right or could it be something else?

Did you check your coolent level? I was thinking maybe your head gasket is damaged allowing coolant into the smoking cylinder

Coolant level is fine, barely went down after about 6 hours of riding over 3 days. I took out the plug it was partially soiled with black deposits. IDK if it was oil-fouled or carbon-fouled, but I cleaned it and put it back in and it ran the same. I'm gonna wait for a few replies before i rip the carb off and check the reeds.

Just so we know what left you are talking about. Is the cylinder you are looking at, from when you are sitting in the seat or standing in front of shee? I refer left to right when sitting in the seat. Also you can say stator side or clutch side. If it is the clutch side I would say your case seal is leaking trans fluid into crank and making smoke. If stator side coolant is getting in to cylinder some how or jet is loose in carb letting to much fuel in. Also maybe float level is to high

It's the clutch side a.k.a. the left from sitting on her. It runs fine and everything so I'm not going to take apart the whole crankcase and replace gaskets and seals just for some smoke and the occasional bog. Thanks anyways.
