CrashFireBanshee Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I just installed a trinity cv manifold with a 34mm PJ carb. I am at 1000' and its 90 outside. I have fatty pipes and K&N clamp on no box. The carb came used with a 178 main and a 68 slow or pilot jet. The bike will start and run with the choke on but as soon as you take it off it dies. The air screw is 1 1/2 turns out and with the choke on it seems to be idling ok. Should I go bigger on the pilot or smaller? 68 seems kinda big from what I have been reading on here. So what should I go with Quote
brock_fuzzy_69 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 that pilot jet sounds huge to me a 34 mm PJ comes stock with a 55 i believe i run a 48 to 52 myself and i am at a lower elevation depending on your mods i say 45-48 pilot as a guess but soem of the other guys will def know better than i will as i am stilll a rookie Quote
