robert28 Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 i have fmf fatty's and silencers. they have sat in garage for 8 months while i rebuild from crash. now they have multiple rust spots. fine sandpaper will take it off, but then i dont want the rust 2 return. i was thinking i'll just wd40 the crap out of them alot. they were nickle plated not chrome. any ideas guys? im new to this site if anyone in conn. mass. or r.i. wants to ride get to me at [email protected] later Quote
evil Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 never dull, or some sort of polish, then wd40 the shit out of them, just spray it on a rag and wipe them down, it dont take much to coat them. Quote
Klotzban1 Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 I agree.....I use Never Dull and Blue Magic metal polish followed by wd40 and my fatty pipes and silencers still look great. Just turn a radio on and put several polishings on them. How bad are the rust spots? Quote
