alky life?

i am thinking about switching over to alky in my shee and it is way cheaper to buy it in a 55 gallong drum then by the gallon but will it go bad ? sitting in my garage?

long as its sealed and kept in a cool place should last for about a year i would think mabey a lil longer but 55 gallons isn;t that much thats about 4 good weekends
