sredish Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 I usually run with the lid off in the summer and lid on in the winter. Hey Sredish, why would you put the lid back on in the winter? Wouldn't it breath better wheather its winter or summer? because the colder denser air needs to have bigger mains, or you can cheat and restrict air flow a little. but dont forget that if you ditch the air box youll need to fab/buy a bracket to relocate your water bottle yep, helps keeps her from getting lean over the winter without rejetting, although, sometimes I end up rejetting anyways. It's pretty easy to rejet when you only have one carb. Quote

THE K&N AIR FLTER REPLACEMENT ACCOMPANIED BY THE AIR BOX I'll leave the snorklin' equipment at home. Next step is to religously read the Jetting Article posted. And if I still have trouble I am now 100% positive that WE can get it done I got admit that I am still afraid of tackling this but like the fearless over excited farmer in The Waterboy said "You can do it" thanks again fellas this won't be the last you'll hear of me sorry for taking so long to respond but I've been really busy.
