phreak Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 i snapped my chain and bent the rear sprocket yesterday so i need replacements. i was thinking i might as well drop a tooth and go with a 13 in the front and stay with a 41 for the rear. i figured i'd go with the did 520 x-ring chain but i'm not sure which one to go with. which is the one i want to get (520 x ???)? sredish Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 The DID X-ring is a very strong chain. You can't go wrong if you decide to go with that. Quote
phreak Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 yeah...i'm going to go with the did x-ring. i'm just not sure how many links i should get. correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe the stock chain is 104. should i just go with a 104 with 13/41 gearing? Quote
hamuel Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 In the sand my has always pulled real strong with a 14/41 gearing. The only other question is how long a swing stock? or plus something? or mines something. Quote
phreak Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 the swingarm is stock and stock length. i want to gear it down because i ride trails and i don't really care about top end. i rarely go above 4th gear. Quote
