rugrat30263 Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 I have an 89 Banshee that has T5 pipes, a jet kit and been bored over, since I got it it has not run on 2 cylinders. One cylinder runs fine and the other one just pops occasionally. I put a new stator on it, checked the cdi, and the coil. The TORS was removed when I got it. Any help? Quote
Banshee~ Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 (edited) Change the plug on the side thats not fireing.Make sure you gap it right and if you dont have an extra plug clean the electrode on the bottem of the plug with fine sand paper.I hope this fixed your problem Edited May 28, 2004 by Banshee~ Quote
rugrat30263 Posted May 28, 2004 Author Report Posted May 28, 2004 Thats the thing, Sometimes the right side will run then 10 minutes the left side will run and the rught side wiss cut out. That is with both cylinders running brand new plugs. Quote
Banshee~ Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 Can you not fell the powerband?Make sure your carbs are synched Quote
rugrat30263 Posted May 28, 2004 Author Report Posted May 28, 2004 There is not much of a power-band, my brothers stock warrior will out run me. I think the carbs are syncronised, they both open and close at the same time. Would the tors being removed incorrectly do this? Quote

Would the tors being removed incorrectly do this? if you take off the seat and look at the carbs theres a little screw on the top of each carbmake sure there pointing the wright direction and are screwed in the same amount. If you dont know how to do that take it to a shop they can do it in 30 mins or faster.I dont know alot about tors removal but i would say that isent the problem. evil Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 and yes, the tors will cause this problem if it is not disconnected properly. is the little black box under the left side of the radiator unplugged ? (left being your sitting on the quad) and all the sensors on the throttle too ? Quote
