exported2k Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 (edited) I am looking around for a good carb setup and i can't decide. I was wondering if the 2 to 1 setup was any good. I am soon going to get the trex powervalve heads and a long rod kit for next season so what should i do now? would the 2 into 1 be good for the powervalve cylinders Edited May 28, 2004 by exported2k Quote
Banshee~ Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 Ive got a question allso...does the 35mm carb eat more gas than the stock carbs? Quote
Dmcbanshee Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 Hey exported2k,I don't know for the powervalve but I run with 2in1 35mm with milled head and I have very good torque, but I think with powervalve you've got two Keihin PJ 34mm Carbs... Banshee~:Yeah I think he eat more gas with the 35mm carb than the stock carbs Quote
Meat_Head Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 would the 2 into 1 be good for the powervalve cylinders Running the 2:1 set up on a T-REX engine is a big no! no!. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 yea it eats more gas then stock, but its worth it, low end grunt is what u'll get with this, along with a quick throttle snap, but with a longrod and trex comin next year, i'd wait for some bigger carbs Quote
exported2k Posted May 28, 2004 Author Report Posted May 28, 2004 yah that is what i thought, what about a mild port and long rod setup, would i be good with a single 35 or 38? and how does it compare to just bigger carbs? does it keep the top end Quote
nasty01banshee Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 got one on my bike, liked it when i only had bolt on mods, now went with stroker and port work, feels good, trying to tune it to it's max, get some time slips from the track and then try my dual-carb setup and see which seems better, timely process in the works...
