This is my first post, let me know if I leave anything out. My 2001 Shee ran great before I put new reeds in, they were Boyesen Pro Series 2 stagers, after they were in it didn't want to start anymore. It took alot of kicks and blister on my foot. ;) I would pull start, but didn't idle. Then put the stock reeds back in and had the same problem starting it. It will pull start and idle a little longer now but still pretty nasty, and start up when hot. It revs itself and then just cuts out. Each cyclinder is holding 160 P.S.I. Hoping it is just the jets and carb need to be cleaned out. It has FMF Gold series pipes, ADA Racing head 18cc domes, 4 degree advance, reed spacers, and boost bottle. Any thoughts on what is wrong would be great. Thanks.

did u rejet wtih the new carbs? and it sounds like you may hve a air leak, do a leakdown test to see and makesure everthings connected tight

i have said it once and will say it again, TORS! get rid of that usless junk, they cause more problems than anything i know. it seems if you touch the fucking carb caps they will f*ck up, you may have to disconnect the tors and see what happens.

Have it narrowed down to a vaccum leak around the intakes but cant figure out where. New gaskets were put around the reeds, reed spacers ans silicon was put around the intakes. It is getting super hot also. Boiling water after about 5 minutes of running with Water Wetter in it. It will still only start with starting fliud and after warming up for awhile, nasty idle and no power. When trying to find the leak with starting fliud it ran away the key, kill switch or removing the spark plug wire would not kill it. Had to stall it out. Need some major help I am stuck.

Keep looking for the leak, carb tops, boots, cross-overtube hose clips.

As it's overheating allready I wouldn't risk running it anymore. I highly recommend you do a leak down test.

What is a leakdown test and how is it performed? Never read about it in another forum. All steps needed to do leakdown test would be great. Thanks. Am am not very mechanically inclined.
