KMAC Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 I was wondering what size chain I needed for 16/40 gearing on a stock swingarm? I'm running 15/40 now, but the stroker can pull taller! Also what would be a good starting point for gearing in the dunes for the passion 12 port stroker? Finally got it together and tuned out, wow I love this machine. It needs to be taller though! Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 I'm running 16/40 gearing but unfortunately I don't remember how many links there are, plus I have a -2 swingarm anyway. When I put my last chain on I counted the old links and ordered a new one with the same amount bad idea mine was so stretched I got the new one and it was about 3 links shorter, but I was able to return it so it worked out. I would recommend ordering a longer chain, doesn't cost much more, and cutting it down to the right size. But I have only replaced the chain once so others on here who do it all the time should be able to be more specific. Quote
