Maverickmotorsport Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 I don't like bolting stuff on just so I can say I have something. Have an opportunity to buy some new ones cheap. Curious if anyone has the skinny on expected results. Quote
banshee04le Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Expect a noticeable improvement in off idle throttle response and probably no adverse affects ON A STOCK MOTOR. Don't run them with porting and definitely not with a stroker, they are too restricitive for these applications. Quote
Maverickmotorsport Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 How can they be restrictive? Supposed to flow more. I don't buy the 7hp gain claim. My motor is .20 to .30 over with pro c exhaust and pro-flo intake, Vito needles. Quote
banshee04le Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 If you are talking about the boyeson rad valves, if you seen them you would know what I am talking about. The cage is machined with a narrowed round intake port that feeds the inlet end as opposed to the wide open design of stock ported or vforce cages. The boyeson rad valves were designed to improve throttle response on a stock motor. The narrowed round intake port of the cage will increase intake velocity off idle however serious draggers i.e strokers porting etc...will not run them. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Rad valves are junk for a banshee. You'll be wasting your money. Quote
