Dark Ranger Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 This may be a silly question, but here goes. When you order a set of arms from someone like Quicksand do you actually get all four arms (one upper and one lower for each side) or do you need to order two sets? I'm trying to save up for some and need to know how many pennies I will need. Quote
pimp559 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Most companies give you evrything you need to set you up ( except brake lines). That is 2 uppers and two lowers and usually tie rods. I would ask who ever you buy from what all comes with the set up just to be sure. Quote
Dark Ranger Posted May 5, 2004 Author Report Posted May 5, 2004 That's good to know. It would be a bummer to order a set and only get half of what you need. Quote
evil Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 well most shops give you the arms, all 4, the tie rods and the ball joints. like mentioned above you still need the brake lines and if your going to a 2 inch wider set up, youll need shocks also. Quote
Dark Ranger Posted May 6, 2004 Author Report Posted May 6, 2004 I'm not sure yet if I want to go to the +2 arms. The extra stability would be nice, but I'm a little worried that they mey be a little too wide for some of the tight trails I end up riding on. New shocks would also be nice, but if I stay with the stock width I could use the stock shocks until I can save up for new ones. Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 quicksand aarms come with evry thing you need if you need some aarms that arn't as wide they can make +1 or even stock langth you can use the stock shocks with +2's just make them as tight as possibal quicksand motorsports Quote
Dark Ranger Posted May 6, 2004 Author Report Posted May 6, 2004 Have any of you guys had trouble with using the +2 lengths when trail riding? Quote
bansha60 Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Depends on how wide your trails are??, What kind of a-arm are you buying?. I have timmy boy designs..I like them better than lonestar, I had a set of those, timmy boy gives you everything you need, except the brake lines Quote
