DerekJL Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I am interested in a Toomey Radiator for my Banshee for extra cooling. My question is does it effect the jetting in any way? Do I have to mess with the carbs at all if I was to buy one? Quote
00BANSHEE Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 got one. No you don't have to mess with anything. Just install it and go. It bolts right in where the stock one comes out. No modifications required. Quote
wesw Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 worth the money, works very well. probably the best thing i bought for the shee Quote

wesw Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 you mean that since i didnt praise your flywheel and timing plate my bad well they were good also lol Quote
BdBanshee Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 you mean that since i didnt praise your flywheel and timing plate my bad well they were good also lol No, I was just kidding But which mod made your Banshee run better for the money, the $400 radiator, or the $125 flywheel and timing plate? I have a larger radiator on my Banshee too, but it's not a Toomey. I bought mine back in 1992 from a place called Engine Trix, nobody used to even offer a larger radiator until recently. Pretty pricey mod really, I wouldn't have bought it but my stocker was ruined and before Ebay it would have cost a fortune to even go back stock. Quote
wesw Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 yeah the plate and wheel helped a bunch but the rad let one ride longer at the dunes compared to someone the has the stock one. i will say for 400 buck for a chunk of aluminum it sure is expensive i can buy one for a car for that price but thats the way everything is now a days. lincster Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 Yep, running a Toomey on mine for 3 years at the dunes. Never lost a drop of coolant since I installed it. Quote
