Big Bore

I would like some opinions on which big bore setup to buy. Cheetah,trex,superior sleeve etc. Could someone gives some ideas on this subject? I want a 500cc with dependablity and runs on race fuel. No alcohol. Thanks

Why no alcohol? You can make ALOT more power than fuel...

I dont think a bigbore kit alone will give you much more power. If you install the bigbore sleeves and then have the cylinders ported correctly to take advantage of the larger bore then you can get some decent gains, otherwise your better off just getting a good port job on the stock cylenders. Talk to an engine builder that has experience with porting big bore cylinders.

All the monoblocks you listed will run extremely hard if set up correctly, the question you should ask yourself is who do you want to work on your engine?

 

Pick a builder and go with the set up he recommends...I know it sounds lame but its the best way to go.You will also have to run at least a 7mm stroker crank if you want the engine to reach 500cc but you probably already knew that.
