hey guys,

i have my chain off and i just washed my bike...i started the bike up to let it warm up (havent started it in a while) and my sprocket is going like a mile a minute...i nutted up and reached down to see if i could stop it and i could...but why is this thing going so fast, am i going to have a problem when im parked WITH my chain on?...is it just because of vibrations that spin it, or is it actually engaging...

thanks a head of time

That is the only thing I could possibly think of...especially with your chain off  There is nothing to turn the wheels without it (the chain) Did you have it tilted at an angle or anything?

naw this was flat 4 wheels on the ground, i was sitting on it and just lookin around seein if everything was ok...then i realized my primary sprocket was going crazy...i thought it was just the nut and thinking "aw shit better torque that down" but it was my whole sprocket...i could move it backwards maually (forgot to mention that) im just wondering why it was spinning so much...

Thats normal, there is no resistance on the sproket to keep it from spinning with the chain off, the primary drive shaft always spins when he motor is running, its normal for it to spin. it will happen with all of them

nice, thats what i wanted to hear...i was thinkin maybe when my chain gets on, i'm gonna have to jam on the brakes to keep from rolling...

thanks a lot guys
