scotts96fast Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Has anyone does this.drill a hole, tap it and find the right bolt.seems like there's not alot of room once you put the outside cover on.add some sort of washer(gasket) to the bolt. Quote
scotts96fast Posted March 16, 2004 Author Report Posted March 16, 2004 for what? check just make things easier to drain the coolant... Quote
DIRTBIKEZ Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Not sure how think the cover is but my guess is its too thin the sufficently tap. Pro Design sells an E-Z Drain cover that replaces the stock cover and serves teh same purpose. Quote
scotts96fast Posted March 16, 2004 Author Report Posted March 16, 2004 is its too thin the sufficently I was just thinking the samething.I might weld a litte bushing to the plate and drill through both. We'll see I'm bored as all hell sitting home from work, hoping to go back next week.Just looking for a free mod to play around with......I'm waiting for the shift star and flywheel to get done.... Tim C Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I drilled a hole and then welded a nut on and put a bolt with a rubber washer on it for a seal. Just make sure to cut the bolt off flush with the inside of the waterpump cover because there isn't much clearence between the cover and the impeller. I also cut a bit of the lining inside the plastic cover to clear the head of the bolt. Quote
