MILO Posted June 19, 2004 Author Report Posted June 19, 2004 i finally ordered a chest protector. i got the fox air frame, from rocky mtn. for $116. it's supposed to be hear by the middle of next week. it was a real toss up between that and the thor force. i kind of liked the "hinged" back on the fox, and the general look of it slightly better. anyway, thanks for all the input guys. evil Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 had the same toss up, fox was a better way to go. Quote

Slayer1018 Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I just recieved my THOR Aftershock protector and it is very comfortable. Quote
racer714 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 well i was wearing one about 3 yrs ago when i was racing mx when i live in so cali, I came down hot on the front end off a huge double and shattered my collarbone real bad WITH IT ON, i can't imagine how bad the damage would have been wothout one!! ......WORD Quote
oldbanshee Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 I use a fox airframe, it's great. You'll like it, pretty comfy also. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 just bought myself, my wife, and one of my friends chest protectors last season, I bought the MSR system X ones, wore them all season, with no complaints, (even the wife didn't mind), only time I notice I have it on is when I turn to look behind me, then yes it is a little bit restrictive....but I think it would help alot, my pal broke his collar bone(among other stufff....) when he crashed, they said it was from his helmet when his neck "folded" and the general consensus was that he may not have broken his collar bone if he had been wearing a roost guard, but he probably would have still broken ribs punctured lung/spleen etc.... I had one pretty good "get-off" this season, pinned in third, through a turn, i nwhich the bike landed on me, and I got up and rode away with minimal bruises etc. maybe it would have been worse w/out, but am happy I had it on... decon Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 ikikazz your avatar is very sickening. anyway, i wear a fox chest protector everytime i ride, u never know what can happen. i remeber 1 time i didnt wear it, i was out on a track, rocks peggin the heck outa me, and then to top it off i flipped off my atv comin around a corner and fell on a bunch of rocks hard, hurt real bad. that taught me a real good lesson Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 I found the price I paid for the MSR system X protectors was $115 a piece through the local parts shop. Quote
