Jeffro Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 I've noticed that my shock doesn't like my +4 arm all that much. I was looking at works shocks and it looks like they have a new insert for it? I'm not sure what that is really. What have you all with extended swingarms done with your shocks? Or should I buy another shock? Thanks. Quote
bkabina Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 I took my stock shock off and put it on a shelf with the others,then put a strut in it's place. But most guys have them revalved,and I think maybe get a stiffer spring. Quote

SDD Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 I had a local shop do it. The most expensive part is converting the stock seal head out with a standard shim stack seal head. It cost me around 300 to have the rear shock done. A good rear shock will cost you 750 though and really the rear shock is a great unit once it's revalved and resprung for your setup. Quote

My shee went from bottoming out on the little bumps and whoops to riding like a cadillac. I also have a +4 swingarm and weight about 250. The total cost including shipping to them was $365.00 Quote
