tithead Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 well i was racing today and it was all going fine. then all of a sudden it cut out. we tried to restart it and it would fire for a few seconds and then cut out again (quite quick.....electrical, not fuel?) so eventually i went for a tow to take me back to the pits and on the way up i tried to bump it. it wouldnt bump and when i got back to the pits i noticed there was fuel pissing out from the carbs. we stripped them down and cleaned the floats and put them back together then fired it up. it ran for a minute or 2 and then died again. we soon noticed the coil is mounted with the teminals close to the frame and was shorting. we tried to put plastic and silicone inbetween the terminals and the frame to stop it and it worked for a while but soon we ended up, back at square! has any1 got any ideas or suggestions. im racing next week end (hopefully) so i need help quite fast. thanks head of titness Quote
