dnhyoung Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 I just got back from riding and was cleaning up my shee, and I noticed that there is not a grease zerk for the swingarm. I crawled all around and still didn't see one. Am I just missing it, or is there not one there? I am getting ready to replace all the swingarm and linkage bearings as soon as I get my shock back from TCS and I was wondering if there is no Grease Zerk should I drill and tap and put one in?? Curious to hear what you guys have done???? Quote
erbilabuc Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 there isnt one on the stock setup , your only option is to drill and tap Quote
dnhyoung Posted February 15, 2004 Author Report Posted February 15, 2004 it's not a problem of the difficulty, I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed it somewhere. I had to fix a broken one on part of the lower linkage before. It was a good excuse to buy a quality set of easyouts.... Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 Go get a grease zerk from Lowes hardware/home improvement. 1/4-20 thread. Use a #7 drill (.201), then a 1/4-20 tap. Be sure to clean out any chips that get inside the pivot tube. Quote
