rebelbanshee2 Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 just put my engine together aligned the arrow on the arm with the arrow on the case the right way, but when i hooked my clutch cable up to it there was huge play in the lever. i cant even adjust it out at the lever. the arrows still line up on the case. Could this be from there being no oil in the case? Other than that Im stumped, it was fine before i took it apart. Quote
TREELIZARD Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 the oil doesn't have anything to do with it. did you put in the correct number of steel and fiber plates? or did you accidently leave some out. did you put the clutch ball and rod back in? i would double check to see if the ball is still there and didnt fall out. but these few things is all that i think of it being. SDD Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Because you did a new clutch pack you will need to adjust the nut in the center of the clutch pressure plate. You might have put the clutch cable in the holder wrong as well... if you look on the top case make sure it's setup right. Quote
spoin39 Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 It sounds like you don't have the clutch cover on all the way, recheck and make sure it lines up with the basket correctly. Quote
