88'kX125 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 Hello guys, I am new to this site, and i am considering buying a banshee. I currently own an 88' Kx125 that I bought in 92. I am wondering if a Banshee is alot faster than a Kx125, and if the powerband is much stronger. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric Quote
fel0n Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I have owned a Banshee, and now own a 89' Kx 125, and let me tell you, I would give just about anything to have my Shee back. To me the Kx isnt nearly as much fun as a Banshee. But then again i haven't ridden my Kx much. I only putted around the yard, and rode up n down the street a few times. Well I hope this helps. Quote
88'kX125 Posted February 6, 2004 Author Report Posted February 6, 2004 Thanks fel0n, but I want to know if the Banshee is alot faster, and how do the powerbands compare. By the way, how much did you pay for your KX, and what year did u buy it? Quote
fel0n Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I paid 1000, and I bought it a few weeks ago Quote
skykingcory Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 My buddy has a 2003 CR250 Honda dirtbike. We are about dead even in a race and even on top end. He is also a good rider. But my shee isn't stock either. Quote
spoin39 Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 A shee will usually get the holeshot and run from a 125. I raced alot of bikes and it is close in a 300' drag race. My buddy has a new CRF450 Honda and we are very close. He starts to gain on me half way and beets me 75% of the time. The power band is alot alike. A stock-slightly modded banshee has little bottom end and needs to be revved and clutched alot to get the power out of it just like a 125. Get one and you won't be sorry, they are a blast! Quote
