erbilabuc Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 I changed my jetting and went from a 300 main to a 290 main and from 30 pilots to 25 pilots. Banshee runs good and power kicks in when it is supposed to. The left side is hot but the right side is muchhhhh hotter. Could it be the air/fuel screws need to be adjusted? Quote
erbilabuc Posted February 1, 2004 Author Report Posted February 1, 2004 i just sync'd them two days ago but im gonna take a feeler gauge to it again. Do you know what the exact gap is supposed to be? Quote
Meat Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 did you have the hot pipe\hotter pipe problem before you changed your main jets ?? Its odd that you say its running great, cause first thing I think is the one carb float might be sticking. Quote

THe difference is very obvious, On the right side I can tell it is much hotter then the left side. I was riding in the rain yesterday and the right side was completely dry but the left side had water all over it and it wasnt steaming. Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 maybe its not one side runiing hotter, maybe its the other side running colder, Quote
Banchetta Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Does it smoke evenly?? Air screws at the same setting? I'm not sure how a feeler guage would work in a carb w/ a round bottom, I'd think it wouldn't be accurate enough, but I've never tried that so I won't say, but I usually just bottom the slide out until it barely touches, then turn them up 1 full turn.......If they are in sync, then I'd do a leakdown test to find any air leaks, could blow a motor is you have an air leak...
