Jetting

hey guys I need to know what jets to put in my banshee. It has been board out .080 over with stock pipes and boyesen reads, The jets I think are stock, it was board out .040 when i took it apart to rebuild it. It runs good, Just wondering if I can get more power out of it by jetting it, thanks

if it's still all stock and just bored out .080 then it prob. is close to good now. they come pretty rich from yamaha. At least at sea level anyways..... do a plug check and see how close it is and go from there.

thanks for the info, I forgot to say i also have a k&n filter if that matters

if it is bored, running the k&n, and if you are running aftermarket pipes, then the 280 is close to the best . you must look at everything you have done to the bike. example my is; fmf gnarly, boost, reed spacers, pro-comp filter, cut box and the 280's are on the money. good luck

have you checked the spark plug under wide-open-throttle? That is really the only way to tell. No one can really tell you what you can run, you have to see how your shee is running. Take it out where you can get some speed and run it in 5th or 6th with the throttle wide freaking open, and kill the motor. Then check your plugs and it will tell you if your rich or lean.

 

Also, if you want more power, get some pipes.
