superchicken Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 this may be a silly ? but how the hell do you get fmf pwercores apart to repack them.ive un-bolted the 5 bolts that hold the outer shell on but cant seem to get it off.i dont whant to start beating on them,i like them without dents.thanks Quote
spoin39 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Probably have to use some force, just be carefull not to damage them, use a good quality packing and don't wrap it too tight! Use some masking tape to keep it together while putting it back in, it will burn off eventually. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 to get them off, take the back of a hammer and hit it gently around both ends, they might be stuck to the packing because of the oil buildup, when you get em off wrap it around but not to tight, you'll probably have to cut it, then slide the cover back on and your on your way Quote
